The Rose Ceremony Room Is Actually the Family Den and Other Fascinating Facts About The Bachelor Mansion

Category: DIY projects

If you're a devotee of ABC's The Bachelor and The Bachelorette, then you probably know the swanky Tuscan-style estate the contestants live in as well as your own home - from the motor court where contestants are introduced stepping out of a limo to the den used as rose ceremony room where they're bid their farewell. What you might not know is that this house isn't a set or a vacation property, but an actual house that's inhabited by a family with four kids when the show isn't shooting!

The owner revealed to Us Weekly that twice a year he and his family vacates the home for 42 days so the show can shoot. All of his family's belongings are removed in a day and the home is then decorated for the upcoming season - which includes everything from full furnishings to new paint colors. When shooting wraps, they spend two weeks putting everything back to how it was.

Trulia estimates that this nearly 8,000-square-foot home, equipped with every luxury amenity (a theater room, professional chef's kitchen, infinity pool, canyon, and mountain views) situated on 10 pristine acres is worth $7.4 million. Take a look at the real house ahead to decide if it's worth your rose.
