The ubiquitous subway tile backsplash trend isn't about to disappear, but it is getting some competition. We recently caught up with the Property Brothers, aka Drew and Jonathan Scott, and these home reno experts revealed that there's a new backsplash style they're getting a lot of demand for: solid slabs. "We're doing a lot of solid slabs that go from that counter right up the backsplash, up to cabinet. It's beautiful and clean. There's no grout lines at all, so it's seamless," Jonathan told us. The look is perfect for homeowners who want a sleek and contemporary style. As for subway tile, they say it's a "classic look" and they're still getting requests for it, but homeowners are getting more creative in terms of what color subway tile they're using. The more backsplash options, the merrier!
