Norfolk England Vintage Wedding

I totally adore the details of this Norfolk England vintage wedding.
I recently came across a tumblr blog, The Vintage Scientist. Aside from noticing we have common interests (looking through her vintage finds can take hours, she has that much vintage awesomeness to share) I noticed one of her wedding photos which had me saying, oh my! A few twitter interactions later I’m excited to be sharing this stunning wedding. From the venue to the table decor, there is so much beauty. The ice cream truck is my fave, love!

Wedding details from the Bride, Dawn
We got married August 2009 in Norfolk (England) in my parent’s very “English” village. It was a church wedding and we held the reception in the village hall and a marquee on the village hall field. The theme was English, vintage, traditional, and we tried to do as much as possible (DIY). We bought mismatched vintage china and cake stands from car boot sales, charity shops, and antique shops. My mum made the simple wedding cake. We used a local trainee florist for the flowers. Along with my bridesmaids, I made the order of services and the favors for the guests which were breast cancer charity pins. As the wedding was in August (it still rained) we hired an old fashioned ice cream cart and a served Pimm’s drink and strawberry and cream on shortbread before the buffet meal. We hired a local DJ to play cheesy music at the disco in the village hall.
