Valentine Sweets Display

When my sweet friend Laurie asked me to set up a Valentine sweets display for an event held at her office I was honored and excited. Small cozy displays are my fave. Laurie held a marketing event where couples, businesses and individuals could come in and get photos taken in celebration of Valentine’s Day, super thoughtful! Most showed up to get business head shots and we had a great time watching them let loose. Everyone should wear a bright pink boa in their professional photos right? My job was to set up the sweets display and getting people to relax prior to their photo session. I loved my job duties at this shindig, feeding peeps sweets and making them giggle, a perfect work day!
Laurie and I headed over to the Dollar Tree for our decor and glassware We picked up heart shaped candy dishes and candle sticks to create our candy bowls, a great way to bring height to a display. Pink lemonade was a must and so were red velvet cupcakes, made by Laurie herself. The LOVE print vases were my fave purchase. (Dude, the Dollar Tree has some gems!) Using jewel hearts and glittered heart sticks we made colorful fillers for the vases. Using my Cricut I whipped up a mini heart banner and added the finishing touches. My friend went candy crazy at Costco’s but when you’re hosting a Valentine event candy overload is justifiable. Well, candy purchases can always be justified.
