Love Is Oh So Sweet

A few months back I partnered with my sweet and talented friend, Courtney for a styled shoot. The theme for this photo shoot- Love Is Oh So Sweet. The theme was created in part of celebrating my wedding anniversary and our mad love for sweets. More on the anniversary later. This local park, Kraft Azalea Garden of Winter Park was scouted by Courtney and fit our plan perfectly. Working with Courtney is the best, she’s wonderful and her dishes are the perfect eye candy. The color palette was inspired by the tablecloth, a rifle pattern via BHLDN. Best. Purchase. Ever.
I had a hard time being selective with the photos to share, they are all so wonderful! Our photograph, Janelle’s Photography captured the set up from sunset to dark. It was wonderful seeing the display with sun light and then by candle light. I created a mason jar chandelier (you can find the project here) by attaching glitter ribbon to the mason jars and hanging them from the tree. Tealights completed the look and a unique glitter filled chandelier was formed. This was everyone’s favorite detail.

Working with Alexis June Creative was such a pleasure. Her work has been featured in a bazillion amazing locations and I jumped on the opportunity to collaborate. To add variety to the floral pattern we decided on polka dot invites, place tags and menus. Such beautiful prints.
Most of you know my dear friend, Carrie as I chat about her always. Carrie created the lace silverware/napkin wraps and the cloth napkins. Her handmade work is fabulous. These neutral patterned napkins fit any occasion.
Gold and pink spray painted mason jars (you can find the DIY project here) also added an extra touch of romance to the display. I picked up fresh flowers on the way to the location and quickly put together these arrangments. Simple fresh flowers make for such an impression in my book.

Are these not the most beautiful sweets you’ve ever seen? I work with Sandy on every project I touch because she is wonderfully wonderful. Firefly Confections created these stunning LOVE cookies made to match our invites. Love & Sugar Kisses is a chocolate covered oreo and truffle making rockstar. Her sweets look too gorgous to eat but you must, they taste so yummy. Crazy About Macarons created these colorful delights and they too were delish. I whipped up some fresh cupcakes the morning of the shoot becuase let’s face it, there can never be too many sweets.

The mason jars and tealights in the evening were spectacular. It was so cool lighting everything and then standing back and it watching it glow. The photographer brought out the fancy equipment for this porition and I’m so very glad she did. The dusk to evening photos are my fave, it created such an intimate setting. There are definetly some behind the scene photos and details to be shared!
