A few 2012 Wedding Trends

I recently read an article by celebrity wedding planner, David Tutera, in which he talked about the 2012 wedding trends. Here is a few of the trends he mentioned.
Family Style Dinners. I love this idea! Keeps guests out of a buffet line, but still able to control their food selections and portions.
Red. Anyone who knows me…knows I LOVE COLOR! I love colored shoes at weddings to set off a white traditional gown and I also love seeing a colored wedding gown.
Metallics. I’m just learning what this concept means and I love the idea of using huge chandeliers, especially over the dance floor. So fun & elegant too!

DIY Pin Bracelet
A few months back I made a visit to one of my favorite places, The House of Blues. I came across a pack of pins and knew I could do something fun with them. {The HR pin was given to me by Hell Razor Art & Jewelry} I simply pinned them on ribbon to create a bracelet. I now have a new accessory from the next concert I attend.

When I came across Secondsister and her “Witchs Larder” collection I knew I had to share, share, share!

Outfitted Under $75: It’s Almost Fall
{I’m excited to have a sweet friend of mine as a fashion contributor. I hope you enjoy her first post, I’m lovin’ it!}
I want to start by introducing myself – my name is Meli from Blush + Jelly. The other day the lovely Melissa sent me a message that made me a very happy lady. She asked if I would like to guest blog and of course I quickly replied “Yes! Yes!”. So every once in a while you will find me here talking about something we all love – fashion!
I decided to challenge myself and find outfits that will cost you under $75, because let’s be honest, how many of us wake up every morning and slip on a pair of Manolos? If you do, then I envy admire you.
So let’s get down to business! Today I set up a little combo that I am crushing on…major. It’s a perfect pre-fall combo – you know, that time of year that isn’t cold but you just can’t wait to wear boots so you balance it out with a dress.

DIY Button Rings
Not a secret that I love an easy do-it-yourself project. I’ve had a bag full of random buttons for awhile now and knew I could do something fun with them! I made a visit to Joann’s and found rings with a flat top for only 3.50 and knew this would work perfect. Insert a hot glue gun and tada!.. I now have a set of button rings.
